Ways of adding Greek letters to Microsoft Word documents
Often people need to add Greek letters/symbols to Microsoft Word documents. These can be accessed through the symbol font.Microsoft Word for Windows
To download the BibleWorks Greek and Hebrew fonts for Windows, right-click on the following link and choose ’Save target as’ or ’Save link as’: Click here for the Zip file The file you are downloading is a Zip file containing BibleWorks font files. Once the fonts files are downloaded and extracted from the Zip file.
1. Select Insert from the top menu2. Select Symbol from this menu3. Select Symbol from the font drop down4. Select the Greek letter you wish to insert.
*On the Mac you use the Font Book to add the font and then copy it to the Windows Office Compatible folder. Many third parties outside of Microsoft package their fonts in.zip files to reduce file size and to make downloading faster. If you have downloaded a font that is saved in.zip format double-click the zip file to open it.
*When you are ready to type in Greek or Hebrew, open you word processor and switch the active font to SBL BibLit, then change the active keyboard to the language that corresponds with what you would like to type. PLEASE NOTE: Microsoft Word for Mac does not support right-to-left languages. You must use a different word processor.Word 2008 for Mac

Double-click the font in the Finder, then click Install Font in the font preview window that opens. After your Mac validates the font and opens the Font Book app, the font is installed and available for use.
You can use Font Book preferences to set the default install location, which determines whether the fonts you add are available to other user accounts on your Mac.
Fonts that appear dimmed in Font Book are either disabled (’Off’), or are additional fonts available for download from Apple. To download the font, select it and choose Edit > Download.Greek Font Microsoft Word MacDisable fonts
You can disable any font that isn’t required by your Mac. Select the font in Font Book, then choose Edit > Disable. The font remains installed, but no longer appears in the font menus of your apps. Fonts that are disabled show ”Off” next to the font name in Font Book.Remove fonts
